What sock size should I choose?
Your sock size corresponds to your shoe size. Keep in mind that sizing can vary slightly between different sock designs because they are knitted on different machinery. However, you do not need to size up when selecting your socks.
I have wide calves. Which socks do you recommend?
For wider calves, we suggest trying The Harris or The Wye—both styles are designed to offer a comfortable fit without being restrictive.
Which of your socks have the longest length?
Most of our socks come in a standard length, but if you're looking for extra coverage, choose The Harris XL Leg, which is made 3 inches longer than our regular styles.
Are your socks machine washable?
Yes! All our socks are machine washable. For best results, use a gentle or hand-wash setting with a low spin speed. You may need to manually adjust your machine to the lowest spin setting available.
I find wool socks itchy. Which of your socks are the softest?
Our softest options are made from fine Merino wool, which is naturally soft and rarely causes irritation. We also offer socks made with premium cotton, and for extra softness, try The King, which includes luxurious Alpaca yarn.
Which socks are the lightest weight?
Our lightest socks are The Flint—knitted with a fine gauge for a sleek, dress sock feel that's lightweight and breathable.
Which of your socks provide the most warmth?
For ultimate warmth, choose our cushioned socks. They feature a terry loop lining that offers extra insulation and comfort for cold conditions.
Which socks are most resistant to wear and abrasion?
All our socks have reinforced areas in key spots to enhance durability. To extend the life of your socks, we recommend wearing well-fitting footwear such as lace-up hunting boots or snug-fitting wellingtons. Avoid loose shoes that allow heel movement, as this can cause faster wear on the heels of your socks.
A cushioned foot sock will also provide greater resistance on the back of the heel.
How do I tie my garter tie?
There are two popular ways to tie your garter, and both are perfectly fine - there's no right or wrong method!
First, roll the cuff of your sock up so it covers your knee. Then, just below your kneecap,
Option 1: Wrap the garter around your calf once and secure it with a double knot. This method helps keep your garter firmly in place throughout the daya nd results in a longer tassel. Option 2: Fold the garter in half and hold it at the front outer side of your leg. Wrap it around twice, then secure by folding the top loop over the bottom once.
Finally, turn down your socks. This option gives a shorter tassel and a neat finish.

Where are you based?
We are proudly based in Herefordshire, UK. Please note, we do not have a physical showroom for visits at this time.
How can I place an order?
You can place an order directly on our website. Existing customers can log in to their accounts, or you can choose to check out as a guest. We also accept telephone orders—simply call us at 01568 760101.
When will an item be back in stock?
If an item is still in production, you can click the “Notify me when available” button and enter your email address. We’ll let you know as soon as it’s back in stock.
If the product has been retired, the website will display “Sold Out”, indicating that it will no longer be available.
Which delivery companies do you use?
For UK deliveries, we use Royal Mail and DPD. For overseas orders, we use DHL. Every order is provided with a tracking number, which will be emailed to you on the day your order is dispatched.
If you are unable to accept your delivery, you can arrange a re-delivery directly with the carrier using the tracking information provided.
When will my order be dispatched?
We aim to dispatch orders placed before 1pm on the same day. Orders placed after 1pm will be dispatched the next working day. Please note that during seasonal peaks, dispatch times may take a little longer.
Can I order today for delivery tomorrow?
Yes! Simply select Next Day Delivery at checkout and place your order before 2pm, Monday to Thursday. Please note that Next Day Delivery is not available to some postcodes:
I didn’t receive an order confirmation email. What should I do?
Please check your spam or junk folder, as confirmation emails can sometimes end up there. If you still can’t find it, please contact us so we can verify your email address and resend the confirmation.
Is it possible to change or cancel my order?
If you contact us within the first hour of placing your order, we can usually cancel or change it easily. After that, it may be too late, but we will always do our best to assist you.
Can I return my order?
Yes, returns are accepted within 28 days of receiving your order. All items must be unworn, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as received. We reserve the right to refuse or return items that do not meet these conditions. Please note, we do not offer a free returns service.
