Description
We introduced the Dormington cotton shooting sock in 2020 and it instantly became one of our most popular cotton socks. It is knitted from premium, soft-combed Egyptian cotton which is dyed and spun in the UK.
Cotton is easy to wear, durable (we add a little nylon too), easy to care for and comfortable next to sensitive skin. The Dormington sole is cushioned - this is a padded sole knitted with hundreds of terry loops. The terry loops allow increased comfort, greater insulation whilst not being as bulky as a full cushion foot.
We have five colour options in the Dormington - last season the Midnight Marl and Seaweed Marl were the two most-popular choices. We have also given the option of adding a garter.
Our socks are knitted from a variety of yarns, all of which are selected for their performance.

For your convenience most of the socks in the range are machine washable (please check individual packaging/product details).
However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:
Turn the socks inside out before washing
Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents
Use a 30°C wool wash programme
Use a gentle spin programme; 600 rpm or less, is ideal.
Dry flat after washing
