When we first designed the pheasant shooting sock back in 2014, he instantly won the hearts of our customers and quickly became synonymous with The Shooting Sock Company brand. Featuring a unique Intarsia knit style that had never been done before, Percy brought something fun, fresh, and innovative to the shooting sock world.
Affectionately known as “Percy” at Sock HQ, this sock has earned a loyal following and makes a fantastic gift for shooting enthusiasts and sock lovers alike. Meticulously knitted in the UK from a premium blend of merino wool and acrylic, Percy promises warmth, durability, and unmatched comfort during your days in the field.
Brighten your shooting attire with Percy in Burnt Orange, one of our most popular yarns known for its vibrant yet earthy tone. This colour packs personality and pairs beautifully with an optional tri-colour Rioja garter tie, creating a standout look that complements the autumn countryside palette.
Please note: The distinctive Intarsia knitting creates a snug, tailored fit around the calf, which means Percy is not suitable for more athletic or larger calves.

For your convenience most of the socks in the range are machine washable (please check individual packaging/product details).
However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:
Turn the socks inside out before washing
Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents
Use a 30°C wool wash programme
Use a gentle spin programme; 600 rpm or less, is ideal.
Dry flat after washing
