Description

The Wye shooting sock is part of our exclusive collection and is perfect for those looking for shooting socks for a more generous calf; the construction of the sock allows extra stretch. (It is also suitable for standard calf widths).

The Wye features a cable knit pattern in the leg giving a little bit more detail to a classic single-tone sock and is available in an array of both classic and contemporary shades. It is the cable detail in the leg that allows additional room for a wider calf. This cabling differs from other socks in our range which are knitted using traditional hosiery machines and in essence are creating a tube.

The Wye is knitted using a different machine which creates a defined leg shape. You really are spoilt for choice with ten beautiful shades to choose from - last season the St Andrews blue and rioja were the two most-popular shades. The matching garter ties can be added to complete the looks.

Delivery & Returns

Our socks are knitted from a variety of yarns, all of which are selected for their performance.

A Merino wool and acrylic blend is an ideal yarn choice for shooting socks, combining the best of both fibres. Merino wool offers excellent warmth, breathability, and natural moisture-wicking properties, keeping feet dry and comfortable during long days. The addition of acrylic enhances durability and elasticity, helping the socks maintain their shape and resist wear over time. Using Italian spun premium yarn ensures a soft, high-quality finish with consistent strength, making these socks both luxurious and long-lasting for all your adventures in the field.

For your convenience most of the socks in the range are machine washable (please check individual packaging/product details).

However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:

Turn the socks inside out before washing
Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents
Use a 30°C wool wash programme
Use a gentle spin programme; 600 rpm or less, is ideal.
Dry flat after washing

Delivery

UK standard delivery is free on orders over £50 and usually takes 3-5 working days. We also offer next-day (including 10:30am), Saturday, and Sunday delivery for UK addresses. Orders must be placed by 2pm the previous working day.

Christmas Returns:
We have extended our returns policy for Christmas 2025. Orders placed between 25th November 2025 and 22nd December 2025 can be returned to us up until 16th January 2026.
