Description
The Reiver Shooting Sock in Merlot delivers a deep, sumptuous blend of marled tones reminiscent of rich red wine. This chunky cable knit, made in Scotland from a Merino wool and acrylic blend, boasts a classic design with subtle vertical stripes and an optional tonal basketweave garter.
Perfectly designed to complement multiple tweed variations, it’s a premium sock known for blending beautifully on the moors and proving a consistently popular choice at The Game Fair. Sizes range from UK 5.5 to 14.
Marled knitting yarn in earthy rustic shades is a beautifully textured blend of two or more natural tones twisted together to create a depth of color and subtle variation. Typically combining warm browns, soft tans, muted greens, and gentle grays, this yarn evokes the rugged charm of the countryside and the warmth of natural landscapes. The marled effect adds a rich, tactile quality lending a handmade feel, perfect for socks.
Our socks are knitted from a variety of yarns, all of which are selected for their performance.
A Merino wool and acrylic blend is an ideal yarn choice for shooting socks, combining the best of both fibres. Merino wool offers excellent warmth, breathability, and natural moisture-wicking properties, keeping feet dry and comfortable during long days. The addition of acrylic enhances durability and elasticity, helping the socks maintain their shape and resist wear over time. Using Italian spun premium yarn ensures a soft, high-quality finish with consistent strength, making these socks both luxurious and long-lasting for all your adventures in the field.
