Knitted in the UK from an indulgent blend of 80% Merino wool and 19% nylon, The Mordiford offers a noticeably softer feel than its predecessor, with just the right amount of nylon for strength and durability — all without sacrificing comfort or handle.
The full cushion foot, crafted with terry loop construction, delivers excellent insulation, superior comfort, and extended durability to keep you warm and supported season after season. Available in foot sizes 6 to 14, The Mordiford is designed for the whole family, combining classic style, softness, and rugged performance in one essential sock. Merino wool is also naturally elastic and durable, providing a comfortable fit that holds up well to the rigours of long walks, making it perfect for high-performance socks.

For your convenience most of the socks in the range are machine washable (please check individual packaging/product details).
However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:
Turn the socks inside out before washing
Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents
Use a 30°C wool wash programme
Use a gentle spin programme; 600 rpm or less, is ideal.
Dry flat after washing
