Description
The Ambassador sock is as grand as the title suggests - the combination of the colours and the design really makes this sock stand apart from its peers. A textured knit adds a subtle detail to the sock helping the Ambassador achieve its grandeur.
The Pennine Ambassador shooting sock is knitted in an extra fine Merino - the yarn is made from long staple Merino wool spun into fine single strands. The wool is then doubled into a luxury two-fold yard that is knitted at just the right tension to create an exceptional luxury material. An optional garter is available to complete the look.
Our socks are knitted from a variety of yarns, all of which are selected for their performance.
Merino wool is an excellent yarn choice for shooting socks thanks to its superior softness, breathability, and natural moisture-wicking abilities. It helps regulate temperature by keeping feet warm in cold conditions and cool when it’s warm, while effectively managing sweat to prevent discomfort. Merino wool is also naturally elastic and durable, providing a comfortable fit that holds up well to the rigours of long walks, making it perfect for high-performance socks.

However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:
Turn the socks inside out before washing
Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents
Use a 30°C wool wash programme
Use a gentle spin programme; 600 rpm or less, is ideal.
Dry flat after washing
