As founder and designer of The Shooting Sock Company Ltd, I’m proud to offer, since 2005, the largest range of shooting socks, all skillfully crafted and knitted in the UK. Following the success of our Extra Long Leg Harris socks in 2023, we’ve extended that exceptional fit to our classic Chessboard design with these extra long shooting socks, adding an extra 3" of leg length for superior coverage and comfort.
These socks come in elegant navy and soft ancient blue hues, effortlessly complementing a wide array of tweeds. Made in Great Britain from a premium blend of merino wool and acrylic, they feature a timeless 4x2 rib knit pattern that combines style with breathable comfort. The foot and heel are reinforced with durable nylon, designed to withstand the demands of your active outdoor lifestyle.

For your convenience most of the socks in the range are machine washable (please check individual packaging/product details).
However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:
Turn the socks inside out before washing
Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents
Use a 30°C wool wash programme
Use a gentle spin programme; 600 rpm or less, is ideal.
Dry flat after washing
