Description

The Byron shooting sock by Pennine is a classic choice that has endured season after season. Its timeless appearance is highlighted by a contrasting turnover band featuring a subtle pattern knit, offering a refined twist on traditional style.

We have introduced the Greenacre and Pollen colour this season and this brings a warm, earthy green to the collection. Completing the look and preventing "slippage", a matching golden pollen garter tie is available. The Byron is available in a spectrum of timeless colours, it pairs well with a variety of breeks.

Delivery & Returns

Our socks are knitted from a variety of yarns, all of which are selected for their performance.

Wool is an excellent choice for knitting socks because it is naturally breathable. Known for its impressive strength—often compared to steel—wool yarn provides remarkable durability without sacrificing softness or warmth. Its natural crimp creates air pockets that offer superb insulation, ensuring feet stay cosy in colder temperatures. Additionally, wool’s elasticity allows socks to fit well and retain their shape over time, making it a practical and comfortable option for everyday wear.

For your convenience most of the socks in the range are machine washable (please check individual packaging/product details).

However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:

Turn the socks inside out before washing
Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents
Use a 30°C wool wash programme
Use a gentle spin programme; 600 rpm or less, is ideal.
Dry flat after washing

Delivery

UK standard delivery is free on orders over £50 and usually takes 3-5 working days. We also offer next-day (including 10:30am), Saturday, and Sunday delivery for UK addresses. Orders must be placed by 2pm the previous working day.
