Knitted in the UK from a luxurious blend of 80% Merino wool and 19% nylon, The Mordiford offers a significantly softer feel than its predecessor, while retaining just the right amount of nylon for strength and durability — all without compromising on handle or comfort.
The full cushion foot, featuring a terry loop construction, provides enhanced insulation, improved comfort, and extended durability to keep you warm and supported season after season. Available in foot sizes 3 to 14, The Mordiford is designed for the whole family, combining style, comfort, and rugged performance in one must-have sock. Merino wool is an excellent yarn choice for shooting socks thanks to its superior softness, breathability, and natural moisture-wicking abilities. It helps regulate temperature by keeping feet warm in cold conditions and cool when it’s warm, while effectively managing sweat to prevent discomfort. Merino wool is also naturally elastic and durable, providing a comfortable fit that holds up well to the rigours of long walks, making it perfect for high-performance socks.

For your convenience most of the socks in the range are machine washable (please check individual packaging/product details).
However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:
Turn the socks inside out before washing
Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents
Use a 30°C wool wash programme
Use a gentle spin programme; 600 rpm or less, is ideal.
Dry flat after washing
