In response to customer requests, we’ve crafted the Stretford shooting sock featuring a plush cushion sole with a striking contrast turnover, bringing together classic style and unbeatable comfort. Knitted in a timeless 4 x 2 rib pattern, this season’s new addition is available in three stunning colours, including Oxford Navy and Nordic Blue. Designed on the underside with a terry loop cushion sole, the Stretford offers enhanced comfort and insulation exactly where you need it — keeping your feet warm and supported through long days in the field. Made from 80% Merino wool and 19% nylon, this sock combines the superior softness and breathability of premium Merino with just enough nylon for strength and durability, all without compromising that luxurious feel.

It’s proudly knitted in the UK and comes in foot sizes 3 to 14, making it suitable for the whole family. Merino wool is an excellent yarn choice for shooting socks thanks to its superior softness, breathability, and natural moisture-wicking abilities. It helps regulate temperature by keeping feet warm in cold conditions and cool when it’s warm, while effectively managing sweat to prevent discomfort. Merino wool is also naturally elastic and durable, providing a comfortable fit that holds up well to the rigours of long walks, making it perfect for high-performance socks.

For your convenience most of the socks in the range are machine washable (please check individual packaging/product details).
However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:
Turn the socks inside out before washing
Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents
Use a 30°C wool wash programme
Use a gentle spin programme; 600 rpm or less, is ideal.
Dry flat after washing
