The secret to their comfort lies in the way the socks are knitted. Hundreds of small terry loops line the inside of the foot, creating a soft, cushioned layer between your feet and your boots. Within the collection, we offer two different types of cushioning. A cushion sole has terry-loop padding along the underside of the foot, providing extra comfort where it is often most appreciated, whilst a full terry foot has cushioning throughout the entire foot area, including the upper foot, for additional softness and insulation. Both have their advantages, and much comes down to personal preference and the type of footwear you wear. Our Allensmore cotton socks are a lovely example of a cushioned-sole design, whilst the Bosbury, with its fully cushioned terry foot, is a particular favourite of ours for winter boots. Once you have tried them, you may find yourself reaching for them rather more often than you expected!
